Complete sadness. Total anger. Complete disappointment. Losing, no matter how painful, can happen in football. But losing to yet another flexor tear is discouraging, to say the least. It’s not even annoying, and even worse, it’s discouraging! On the field, when Thiaw left, the players stopped believing in him, which also brought the audience, apart from the usual pathetic wryness, into complete resignation. Too many times have we seen a Milan player end a run with his thigh in his hand. It’s an ugly dog chasing an ugly tail. Survivors always play but then give up due to normal wear and tear. A fall without brakes, a fall that seems unstoppable. Unbearable!
