The miners achieved a minimal victory over Antwerp
Goalkeeper Shakhtar Dmitry Riznyk commented on the victory over Antwerp (1:0) in the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League. Riznyk separately thanked the fans for their support.
“There are moments in the game when the team gets a little fed up, but we controlled the match and played solid defense, so we managed to win. We played well in defense, so they managed almost nothing in the attacking phase. We were ready for this game.”

Riznyk kept a clean sheet in the match. The Ukrainian goalkeeper made four saves during the game.
Shakhtar are in third place in Group H. The miners guaranteed themselves participation in European competitions in the spring. The final place of Marino Pusic’s team, on which the further tournament (play-offs of the Champions League or Europa League) will depend, will be determined after the last round.
The Pitmen will play the final match of the 2023/24 Champions League group stage against Porto on December 13.
