The trainer of Dovbik and Tsygankov won the prestigious award for the third time in his career
Mentor Girona Michel Sanchez recognized as the best Spanish coach La Liga V November.
In the fight for the prestigious award, the specialist, under whose leadership the Ukrainians Viktor Tsygankov and Artem Dovbik successfully play, was ahead of such competitors as Garcia Pimienta (Las Palmas) and Ernesto Valverde (Athletic).
It was with Athletic that Girona played its last match for today – on November 27, the teams separated peacefully (1:1). Tsygankov opened the scoring in the home match, but the guests fought back through the efforts of Iñaki Williams.
Before this, during November, Girona won two away victories – over Osasuna (4:2, goal + 2 assists from Dovbik and a goal from Tsygankov) and Rayo Vallecano (2:1, Dovbik’s goal from a pass from Tsygankov).
48-year-old Michel has been recognized as coach of the month in the Spanish Championship for the third time in his career. Girona, with 35 points, leads the standings together with Real Madrid, trailing the Blancos on additional indicators.
On December 2, in the 15th round match, the Catalan club will play at home against Valencia, for which Ukrainian Roman Yaremchuk plays.
