Spezia wants to keep Kovalenko for another year

The Serie A club are in negotiations with Atalanta to extend the Ukrainian midfielder’s loan.

Viktor Kovalenko will soon be loaned out again to La Spezia next season. Recall that the rights of the Ukrainian midfielder belong to another Serie A club – Atalanta.

However, according to CalcioSpezia, Spezia’s management hopes to extend the player’s debt for a year.

New head coach Luca Gotti personally wants to see the midfielder on the team. Therefore, the club’s chief executive, Ricardo Pechini, has already started negotiations with Atalanta about extending the agreement.

It was also noticed that Spezia will soon sell club captain Giulio Maggiore, who was Kovalenko’s main opponent last season.
