The Ukrainian champion achieved his first victory in the elite round of the Champions League
Champion of Ukraine HIT won a victory over the Croatian Olmissum in the second round of the elite round of futsal Champions League 2023/24.
The Kiev team lost minimally in the first half – 0:1. In the 25th minute, Daniil Abakshin equalized the score, but two minutes later Antonio Sekulic returned the lead to Olmissum.
In the 29th minute, HIT again won back through the efforts of Evgeniy Zhuk, and in the 30th minute, Abakshin brought the Ukrainian team ahead. The Kiev team failed to maintain the winning score – in the 36th minute, Duje Kustura scored Olmissum’s third goal.
And yet, HIT managed to get the victory – three seconds before the final whistle, Vladimir Ponochovny blocked Abakshin’s cross – 4:3.
HIT scored the first three points in Group D. Yesterday the Kiev team dramatically lost to Polish Lyubava (5:6). On December 2, HIT will complete the stage with a match against the hosts of the mini-tournament, the Spanish Palma.
The winners of each group will advance to the Champions League Final Four. The decisive matches of the tournament will take place in early May 2024.
