Young players are the future of the club
Alexandria announced the extension of contract agreements with two juniors – goalkeeper Viktor Dolgiy and midfielder Daniil Vashchenko.
19-year-old Dolgy, a native of Donetsk, has been in the structure of Alexandria since the spring of 2023. He made his debut for the U-19 team in May and has since played 17 matches for them. This season he has been included in Alexandria’s squad for UPL matches 14 times, but has not yet made his debut for the main team.
18-year-old Vashchenko is a graduate of the same capital academy as Dolgy. He made his debut for the youth team of Alexandria in August last year, in total he played more than 30 matches for the U-19 team and scored one goal.
This season, Ruslan Rotan is letting the teenager join the main roster. Vashchenko has already taken the field three times in the UPL (against Shakhtar, Zorya and Vorskla), playing a total of 141 minutes.
This season, Alexandria, after 14 matches, has scored 13 points and is in the zone of transition matches to maintain its residence permit in the Premier League. In the next round on December 2, the Rotan team will play away against second-place Krivbass.
