victim talks to player and refuses agreement

Daniel Alves, who is still awaiting his trial in Spain, had contact with the young woman who denounced him after the incident. According to the newspaper ‘Marca’, the victim spoke to the Brazilian player, but refused any type of agreement and stated that the damage he brought to her was irreparable.

Ester Garcia, the victim’s private lawyer, spoke about the case in the form of a statement. Therefore, the professional stated that there is no agreement with Daniel Alves’ defense and, so far, it has not been possible to have a mutual understanding of the situation. In her words: “Different positions of the parties regarding the extreme seriousness of the case”.

The private prosecution has not yet presented the qualification document against the right-back. However, the Tax, Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Spainasks that Daniel Alves serve nine years in prison, in addition to paying a fine of 150 thousand euros to the victim, as a form of compensation.

After months of the case unfolding, the complainant did not give up the compensation, a matter that was raised at the beginning of the investigation, when the player was apprehended. In a statement released in August, the victim’s defense stated that she was willing to receive the amount determined, if any, by the courts.

Thus, Daniel Alves’ defense continues working towards an agreement with the victim’s defense and the Tax Authority, with the intention of reducing the Brazilian’s sentence and paying compensation. However, so far, the player’s team has not been successful in this endeavor.
