Since the beginning of this season, Miranchuk has been trying to break into the Atalanta team, but Bergamasco head coach Gian Piero Gasperini almost does not allow the 28-year-old Russian into the starting lineup of his team and rarely allows Alexey to come into play, even as a substitute. So far, Miranchuk has only played seven games this season.
