The Pharmacists are three points ahead of Bayern, but the champions have a game in hand and a better goal difference
In the central match of the 13th round Bundesliga Bayer played a draw at home with Borussia Dortmund – 1:1.
The guests opened the scoring already in the fifth minute – full-back Julian Ryerson successfully joined the positional attack.
Bayer attacked a lot and deservedly came back towards the end of the match. Fresh Patrik Schick’s cross into the empty net was completed by Victor Boniface.
Xabi Alonso’s team continues to go unbeaten, but interrupted its winning streak in all tournaments, which stretched from mid-September and totaled 13 matches.
Pharmacists remain first in the table, but Bayern are already ahead of Xabi Alonso’s team in terms of points lost. The champion scored three points less, but has a game in hand and a better goal difference. Borussia is fifth, one point behind the Champions League zone.
In the next round, both today’s opponents will compete with teams from the top 4. Bayer will travel to Stuttgart and Dortmund will host Leipzig.
