Baraja: Yaremchuk scored a goal, that’s good for him. He did a good job

Bats qualify for the next round of the Copa del Rey

Valencia Mentor Ruben Baraja summed up the results of the confrontation with Arosoy in the third round match Spanish Cup (1:0).

“The main thing is that we moved on. Roman Yaremchuk did a good job with the movement. He also scored a goal. It’s good for him.”

“We played the first half better in terms of space. In the second half we lost the ball. It’s not a matter of relaxation, the field also had an impact. We didn’t play well in the second half and didn’t score a goal to make it 0-2.”

“Everyone needs playing minutes, and the Cup provides such an opportunity. We must take the positives out of this. There were no injuries, and the game helped us get playing time and get the players back into action.”

The only goal in the opening match was scored by Ukrainian Roman Yaremchuk. In the 8th minute, he made a great effort into someone else’s penalty area after a ricochet and with a left-footed shot sent the ball past the opponent’s goalkeeper.

The 28-year-old forward scored his first goal for the Bats. It took him three months and 11 matches for his first effective performance in Valencia.

Valencia advanced to the 1/16 finals of the Copa del Rey. Ruben Baraja’s team will play the next match in the 16th round of Primera Liga, against Getafe away. This will happen on December 8th.
