The Ukrainian women’s team lost to the Netherlands in the main stage match of the 2023 World Handball Championship

In the final match, Andronov’s team will play against Argentina on December 10

Ukrainian women’s handball team lost crushingly Netherlands in the second match of the main stage World Cup 2023.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vitaly Andronov’s team led 3:1, but in the next nine minutes they did not score even once. The Netherlands made an 8:0 spurt and by the break brought their advantage to 11 goals – 19:8.

In the second half of the meeting, the Ukrainians were unable to impose a fight on their opponents. As a result, the Netherlands won with a score of 40:21.

Ukraine finishes the Group 4 standings without any points and has lost its chances of reaching the playoffs. Earlier, the blue-yellows lost to the Czech Republic (23:30). Also included in the main stage were Andronov’s team’s defeats to Brazil (20:35) and Spain (20:32) in the preliminary round.

In the final match of the main stage, Ukraine will play against Argentina on December 10. Starts at 13:00.
