The functionary has been leading the organization since 2013
New “old” chapter La Liga officially re-elected Javier Tebas.
The manager’s tenure remains unchanged at four years. In fact, there were no elections: Tebas was the only candidate, so his appointment took place formally without holding an extraordinary General Assembly.
The decision to elect Tebas was made by the election commission after self-nomination by the functionary and in the absence of other candidates. No complaints or appeals were filed against Tebas’ candidacy.
Let us remind you that on November 22, the 61-year-old functionary officially resigned from the post of President of La Liga. He did this in light of the imminent expiration of his term of office. At the same time, Tebas announced his intention to run for a new term.
The head of La Liga had already pulled off a similar trick four years earlier. Then he managed to be re-elected to a new four-year term. In total, Javier has been leading the Spanish professional football league since 2013.
