Head coach Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti said that he had already made a decision about which goalkeeper, Andrey Lunin or Kepa Arrizabalagawill play in the next match with Villarreal.
“I have already made my decision, but I have not yet spoken to both of them and I want them to know about it personally from me. They make me doubt because they are both very good.”
Earlier it was reported that the Madrid coaching staff is inclined to play Lunin in the 17th round match of Primera Liga. In the previous match in the Champions League with Union, Kepa played. Ancelotti has previously stated that he will use rotation in the goalkeeper position – at least in the near future.
Before the fight with Union, Lunin started the Madrid club without a break, starting on November 8. In total, this season he managed to play 8 matches for the club, four of them to zero.
Real takes second place in La Liga, losing two points to Girona of Ukrainians Artem Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov. The match with Villarreal will take place on December 17.
