Midfielder and captain of the Spanish team “Betisa” Joaquin Sanchez extended the contract with the team, according to the press service of the football club.
Joaquin, who turns 41 on July 21, has signed a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The Spanish midfielder graduated from Betis. He played six seasons for the Sevilla-based club from 2000 to 2006, before returning to the team’s shirt after returning to the club in 2015. In total, he made 385 La Liga appearances for Betis, scoring 54 goals and providing 35 assists.
Last season, Joaquin played 36 games for Real Betis, scoring two goals and providing four assists. He also helped Sevilla win the Copa del Rey.
