Albanian talent will not return to Ukraine in the near future, but Poltava residents will be able to earn something from it
Vice President Vorskly Oleg Lysak shared information about the future of the Albanian winger Taulanta Seferiwho is still under contract in the Poltava club, but plays on loan for Baniyas from UAE.
“According to Taulant [Сефери] I can say that [клубом Банияс] the clause specified in his contract with Vorskla will be activated. This option will be implemented over the next six months. We won’t get all the money in the world,” summarized a representative of the Poltava club’s management.
Let us remember that in July Seferi, whose contract with Vorskla is valid until the summer of 2025, transferred to Baniyas from Abu Dhabi on a one-year loan. At the same time, Lysak said that the Poltava club had the opportunity to make money on the deal. The agreement specified the combination of payments that the Ukrainian team would receive.
In the 2022/23 season, Seferi played 28 matches for Vorskla in all competitions, in which he scored 13 goals. In the UAE Pro League 2023/24, the 27-year-old Albanian played 13 matches for Baniyas (all as a starter), scored six goals and provided one assist.
Since June, Seferi has been firmly the main left winger of the Albanian national team, for which he scored a brace against the Czech Republic (3:0) and helped his team qualify for Euro 2024.
Vorskla finished the first part of the championship in seventh place, with 23 points. Recently, its head coach for the last year and a half, Viktor Skripnik, left the team.
In the 18th round of the UPL, the Poltava team will play away against Zorya. The base date of the tour is February 24.
