Kyiv-Basket signed former point guard Budivelnik Pavel Burenko.
The 33-year-old defender previously played for BC Kyiv, Donetsk, Hoverla, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Ternopil and Kharkiv Sokolov. Last season, Pavel moved to Budivelnik, with whom he became the champion of Ukraine.
In the current FAVBET Super League, Burenko played 12 matches, being a player in Budivelnik’s starting five. The point guard averaged 15.3 points, 5.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds.
Earlier it was reported that Budivelnik withdrew from the competition due to problems with financing. The mentor of the Ukrainian champions of last season, Dmitry Zabirchenko, became the new coach of Kyiv-Basket.
Kyiv-Basket takes fifth place in the Super League, having won 8 victories. Zabirchenko’s team won three matches out of three after the transfer of a new coach and a number of other Budivelnik players.
