The third Ukrainian in the NBA this season
Ukrainian Dmitry Skapintsev signed a bilateral contract with New York Knicks.
The center played for the New York farm club the Westchester Knicks in the NBA Development League this season. The Ukrainian played for New York in the NBA Summer League, but was sent to the farm club.
This season, Skapintsev spent an average of 18.6 minutes on the floor. The ex-player of the capital Kyiv-Basket and Cherkasy Mavp has 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
Thus, Dmitry will become the third Ukrainian in the current NBA season. Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk plays for the Boston Celtics, and Alexey Len plays for the Sacramento Kings.
The Knicks are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. New York will play the Milwaukee Bucks today.
