A number of First League teams that will not play in the new season plan to participate in the amateur championship of Ukraine

As became known Sport Arenaseveral PFL teams that could not start in the Second and First Leagues are considering the possibility of spending the next football season in the amateur championship of Ukraine.

Amateur season 2022/23 should start later than the season in the First and Second Leagues. Its format will differ from last season among amateurs.

Agribusiness, Alliance, Podolia, Volyn, Olympik, Kramatorsk, FC Uzhhorod, Left Bank, Peremoga, Balkans, Tavriya, Trostyanets, MFK Nikolaev, Volchansk, Victoria, Karpaty Galich, Nikopol, Energia, Dnipro will not take part in the PFL championships 2022/23 Cherkasy, Krystal, Sumy and Lubomyr.

The participation of Ternopil Niva, FC Munkach, Bukovina, Chaika and Real Pharma is in doubt.

The 2021/22 football season in Ukraine ended ahead of schedule due to the invasion of Russian troops into the country.

PFL President Alexander Kadenko said that 16 clubs should start in the championships of the First and Second Leagues. The season in the PFL can start at the end of August or at the beginning of September.
