Former Moscow “Spartak” midfielder, and now a coach Denis Boyarintsev in an interview with he talked about his main hobby after football.
Last season, Boyarintsev won the second league with Rodina and led the team to the FNL.
– The biggest prey in spearfishing?
– Shot a pike at 10.2 kg in the Urals. I made a scarecrow out of my head and hung it on the balcony. It’s been my main trophy so far, but people are shooting 100kg catfish. I can’t even imagine how it is. Pike 10 kg seemed big, but here 100 kg. As I understand it, at least two of them catch them – it will be difficult for one.
Also, they are not easy to find. Fans of big catfish sometimes dive under sunken barges, these are 10-12 meters deep, and maybe more. All without diving equipment, otherwise it’s already poaching.
Were there any cases of force majeure?
– Once, when I played in Tomsk, I swam in a small lake – at night with a lantern. After a long dive, I emerge, and next to me are calling ducks. Apparently the local hunters prepared them to shoot. I thought no matter how I got there now, they’d take him for a beaver. People on the hunt also have a good rest.
Very quickly, then sailed away from there. But in general there are different situations – if the places are wild, different animals approach the water. Lisa, for example, saw. Throughput is also important. This may change. Sometimes you have to swim against a very fast current – you sweat so much that you lose more weight than after the game.
Why a knife in the ammunition? This is necessary only if you find yourself in a non-standard situation – you are stuck in an abandoned net or an object prevents you from swimming further, Boyarintsev said.
