The Ukrainian does not intend to move to Chelsea, which does not claim a place in the main European Cup
Attack Girona Artem Dovbik plans to remain at the Catalan club to play in the Champions League next season. The Ukrainian will reject the offer to move to Chelsea, since the Londoners do not claim a place in the main European Cup this season.
It was previously reported that the Blues are ready to pay Girona £39 million for Dovbik’s transfer in January. London head coach Mauricio Pochettino is interested in signing a large forward who will create competition for Nicholas Jackson.
Dovbik’s agent Alexey Lyundovsky said that the Ukrainian forward will not change his team in the winter transfer window. The striker played for Dnepr-1 and Girona and will not be able to play for another club this season. Girona board chairman Pere Guardiola said that the club had not received any offers from Chelsea for Artem.
The Ukrainian forward played 19 matches for the White-Reds in all tournaments of the season. Dovbik has 11 goals and seven assists.
Girona snatched a victory over Atlético Madrid (4:3) in the last match and is in second place in the Examples. In the next match, the team of Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov will play against Elche in the Spanish Cup on January 6.
