Justine beat Preuss by 4.4 seconds
Justine Brezat-Boucher from France became the winner women’s sprint at the fourth stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in German Oberhof.
Breza-Boucher took first place despite two penalties. The Frenchwoman, who leads the overall World Cup standings, is 4.4 seconds ahead of the German Franziska Preuss. Another representative of France, Sophie Chauveau, became third.
The best result among Ukrainian biathletes was shown by Anastasia Merkushina – 27th place. Yulia Jima (32nd) and Kristina Dmitrenko (38th) also made it into the pursuit race. Irina Petrenko and Lyubov Kipyachenkova finished the race outside the top 60.
The men’s sprint also took place today in Oberhof. The winner of the race was the German Benedikt Doll.
On Saturday, January 6, the pursuit race will take place in Oberhof. Classic relay races will take place on January 7.
