Ronen Ginzburg’s team updated its own season scoring record
Prometheus beat with a super-large score for the second time in three weeks Tallinn Kalev in a regular season match Latvian-Estonian Basketball League (LEBL) – 110:52.
The hosts even managed to open the scoring thanks to an accurate three-pointer, but the Ukrainian team quickly outlined the balance of power on the court. After the first quarter, the gap in the score was large – 25:8, and Ginzburg’s team only increased its advantage in each of the subsequent periods.
As a result, Prometheus managed to finish the match with two new team records: the largest score difference (+58) and the largest number of points scored. Earlier during the season, Ginsburg’s team managed to exceed 100 points six times, but they had not previously reached the 110 mark.
None of the winning team scored more than 15 points, but six scored double-digit points. Ondrej Balvin deserves a special mention with his double-double.
Such a big victory allowed Prometheus to take first place in the championship, ahead of Kalev/Cramo on the points difference. It is with this opponent that Ginzburg’s team will play tomorrow, January 6.
