In total, 50 monitored clubs recorded 31.8 million new registrations on their social networks in 2023, the highest result in the historical series
In the first edition of Digital Ranking of Brazilian Clubs in 2024O IBOPE Repucom highlights the annual performance of new subscribers on the social networks of the 50 clubs monitored during the year 2023. In the year to date, the five clubs that stood out most in acquiring new subscriptions were: Flamengo (4.8 million registrations), Corinthians (3.7 million), Fluminense (3.3 million), Palm trees (2.9 million) and Santos (2.3 million).
2023 Highlights
Flamengo led for the seventh consecutive year, since the beginning of the study, the annual gain of new followers. In total, the club had 4.8 million registrations, an annual increase of 9%.
In second place, Corinthians achieved a growth of 3.7 million new registrations and an increase of 12% in the year.
Fluminense was the club with the greatest increase in its digital audience. Thanks to the unprecedented victory of the World Cup Libertadores of America, the club recorded a total growth of 62% in 2023 alone, the highest among all 50 clubs in the study.
Palmeiras, champion of Brasileirãohad an increase of 17% in its digital audience, reaching 2.9 million throughout 2023. São Paulochampion of Brazil’s Cup 2023, recorded its best year in gaining new registrations. In total, there were 2.3 million, an annual growth of 12%.

Similarly, the Botafogo, one of the highlights of 2023, also recorded positive results, with a 28% increase in its subscriber base, the second largest among the 10 clubs that gained the most followers in the year. Even with the unprecedented relegation, Santos was among the 5 highest absolute growth rates and the third highest growth rate (+21%). Part of this result was thanks to the visit of Neymar to the club in the first half of 2023.
O Strength was the northeastern team with the best digital performance in 2023. With a growth of 17% and around 550 thousand new registrations, the club, which is currently in 18th position in the general ranking, obtained the 11th best result among all teams on the networks social.
