Umm Salalah striker Andi Delor lost consciousness during the Qatar Stars Cup final match with Al Arabi, reports RMC Sport.
The meeting took place on Saturday in Doha. In the 16th minute of the first half, the footballer who scored the first goal of the match fell to the pitch and began to have convulsions. Doctors managed to resuscitate the 32-year-old, after which he left the field on a stretcher. In the second half, Delors appeared near the team’s bench.
Umm Salal won the Qatar Stars Cup. The main time of the match ended in a draw – 4:4, in the penalty shootout Delors’ team won with a score of 3:1.
Delors is the winner of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as part of the Algerian national team. He previously played for several French clubs, including Montpellier, Nice and Nantes, as well as English Wigan and Mexican UANL Tigres.
