Valencia with Yaremchuk defeated Cartagena in overtime and reached the 1/8 finals of the Spanish Cup

Valencia beat on the road Cartagena in the 1/16 final match Spanish Cup – 2:1.

The Segunda representative took the lead in the 4th minute of the match after a precise shot from Alfredo Ortuño. Before the break, Cartagena was left with ten men – defender Ivan Calero received a straight red card.

In the 73rd minute, Sergi Canos restored parity on the scoreboard. The winner of the match was determined in extra times. In the 106th minute, Jose Luis Gaya scored and brought the Bats a ticket to the next round of the Copa del Rey.

Ukrainian forward of Valencia Roman Yaremchuk started the match on the bench. The striker came on as a substitute during the break, but was not effective.

Valencia will play their next match away from Cadiz in the Spanish Championship on January 14.
