Ndukwe will become a Polesie player

The midfielder spent the first part of the season in Zvyagelo

As became known Sports Arenamidfielder Denis Ndukwe will go to Polesie.

President of PFC Zvyagel Dmitry Kostyuk, for whom Ndukwe played in the first part of the season, stated that Ndukwe was interested in Ukrainian Premier League clubs. Previously Sports Arena reported that Ndukwe was being closely monitored by Dnepr-1. The current coach of the Dnipro residents, Yuri Maksimov, previously worked with Denis in Zvyagel. Metalist 1925 and Metalist were also interested in the services of the midfielder.

Ndukwe has been playing for Zvyagel since this summer. This season, the 23-year-old midfielder has 16 goals and two assists in 19 matches in all competitions.

Zvyagel is the leader in the Second League, ahead of FC YUKSA in additional indicators. Sergei Shishchenko’s team will hold the next official match in March.

Polesie is an absolute newcomer to the UPL. The team from Zhytomyr confidently spent the autumn part of the championship, leaving for the winter break in third place with a two-point gap from the two leaders – Krivbass and Dnepr-1. True, in terms of lost points, Polesie is also inferior to Shakhtar and Dynamo, who have matches in reserve.

In addition, the team, coached by Yuriy Kalitvintsev, made it to the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup for the first time in its history, successively passing Agribusiness, Dnepr-1 and Alexandria.

The Ukrainian Premier League will resume competitions in two and a half months. Polesie will play away against Rukh in the 18th round. The base date is February 24.
