Four Ukrainian women reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open qualifying round
Four Ukrainian tennis players reached the qualifying semi-finals Australian Open 2024.
Yulia Starodubtseva in 1 hour and 20 minutes she dealt with the representative of Argentina Martina Capurro-Taborda (6:3, 6:0). Dayana Yastremskaya in a long meeting, Lea Boskovic from Croatia managed to put the finishing touches – 6:3, 4:6, 6:3.
Proceeded to the next stage Daria Snigur, who beat Sinja Kraus from Austria in less than an hour (6:3, 6:0). The start of the event was successful for Katarina Zawatskaya, who defeated the Frenchwoman Armoni Tan in two sets (6:1, 6:3).
In the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2024 qualification, Yastremskaya will fight with Valentini Grammatikopoulou from Greece, Starodubtseva will play with Harriet Dart from Great Britain. Snigur’s opponent will be another representative of Foggy Albion, Ann Lee, and Zavatskaya will play a match against Maddison Inglis from Australia.
