Pochettino: Mudryk and Broya did not help to score or change the result of the game

The Blues lost to Middlesbrough in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final

Mentor Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino after defeat Middlesbrough (0:1) in the first match English League Cup semi-final commented on the performance of the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik at the reporting meeting.

“Mudryk entered the field together with Armando Broya. It was difficult for them to enter this match. Unfortunately, Mudrik and Broya were unable to create scoring chances, did not help score or change the result of the game,” summed up the Blues coach.

Chelsea’s Ukrainian winger came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute, but did not help the team avoid defeat. Mikhail played his 21st match (four goals and two assists) for the Blues in all competitions this season.

The second leg of the League Cup semi-final will take place on January 23 in London. Before this, Chelsea will play one match – on January 13, Mudryk’s team will host Fulham in the English Championship.
