Palmeiras is pleased with Shakhtar’s offer for Kevin, but first wants to increase the percentage of rights to the player

The final proposal of the Miners is 12 million euros plus four in the form of bonuses

Palmeiras satisfied with the final offer Shakhtar by winger Kevinwhich is 12 million euros a fixed amount and another four million in bonuses. However, there is one circumstance that prevents the transfer.

According to Brazilian media, Palmeiras currently owns only 50% of the rights to Kevin. The other half is owned by Desportivo Brasilia, from which the footballer moved to a top club in the summer of 2021. The Verdaos want to increase their stake to 70% before selling the player.

It was recently reported that the clubs still had to agree on the details of the deal, the amount of which would be 12+3 million. Note that Palmeiras initially wanted to get at least 15 million for his 21-year-old talent. In turn, the Donetsk club traded Kevin back in December 2022, but his 4 million offer was rejected.

Kevin himself wants to leave the team, where he receives little playing time and has no guarantee that he will play more often in the future.

In 2023, the 21-year-old footballer, playing as a left winger, made 11 appearances in the team that became the champion of Brazil at the end of the season. In total, including appearances for Palmeiras U-20 in the Brazilian Youth Championship, Kevin played 53 games, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists.

Shakhtar are in fourth place in the UPL, three points behind the leaders, but with two games in hand. The miners will play Marseille in the 1/16 finals of the Europa League in February.
