Dynamo forward Constantin Tioukavine believes that the negotiations on the extension of the contract with the Moscow team lasted a long time, but everything ended positively.
On Wednesday, Tyukavin received the “First Five” award, given annually to the best young footballer under the age of 21. Tyukavin, 21, has made 23 appearances for Dynamo in all competitions this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. At the beginning of December, the striker extended his contract with the Moscow club until the summer of 2028.
— Was the re-signing of the contract a brilliant event?
– Yes of course. This all lasted a very, very long time. And it’s good that it ended positively.
— Can you explain why it took so long to reach a new agreement? It seems that Dynamo wanted to keep you. And you also wanted to wear a blue and white T-shirt.
“I myself don’t know why this happened.” There were probably some details on the contract. “We failed to find common ground,” Tyukavin said, as quoted by Komsomolskaya Pravda.
