Aris does not have a free slot to add a foreign goalkeeper
Ukrainian goalkeeper Maxim Koval officially joined Arisa. The player entered into an agreement for 2.5 years.
However, for the next six months the Ukrainian will play for the club of the second strongest division in Greece – Kalamatawhich officially announced the player’s transfer a few days ago.
Aris does not have a free slot to add a foreign player from countries outside the European Union. Thus, Aris loaned Koval to Kalamata until the end of the current season.
Koval has been playing for Sheriff since August 2022. The Ukrainian entered the top 5 goalkeepers of the Europa League in terms of the number of saves in the group stage.
In Ukraine, Maxim played for Zaporozhye Metallurg and Dynamo, and he also played for Odense, Deportivo and Al-Fateh. The goalkeeper has two matches as part of the Ukrainian national team.
Aris is in fifth place in the Greek Super League. Kalamata is in third place in Group B after 14 matches played.
