Midfielder “Baltic » Kristijan Bistrovitch told that the tense spent in Italian “Lecce ” and the Dutch “Fortune Sittard”, had a beneficial effect on his career.
The Croatian midfielder plays for Baltika on loan. The rights to the 25-year-old footballer belong to CSKA Moscow. This season, Bistrovitch played 15 matches for Baltika, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
In the 2022/2023 season, Bistrovic played on loan for Lecce and Fortuna Sittard.
— During the time spent renting in Italy and the Netherlands, I gained more experience and learned new skills. You could say that rentals helped me become even better than before.
— Did you have the opportunity to stay in the same Lecce, Fortuna Sittard?
— In Lecce, I was a starter first, then I started the matches on the bench and I had 15 to 20 minutes of playing time. I wanted to play more and an offer came from the Netherlands, what I liked. I played the whole season for Fortuna and I wanted to stay, but it didn’t work out.
— Before moving to Baltika, did you have any other offers?
— I don’t know, because I was recovering from surgery this summer. At the end of the transfer window, when I was already one hundred percent ready to play, an offer appeared from Baltika. I didn’t think for long – and here I am,” Bistrovitch told .
On Saturday, Baltika players underwent a medical examination in one of the clinics in Moscow, after which they went to Turkey for training camps.
