In total, the Ukrainian team won seven awards
Ukrainian national wrestling teamhastily spoke at Grand Prix Zagreb (Croatia), which took place from January 10 to 14.
35 athletes competed in the blue-yellow team. In total, Ukrainian athletes managed to win seven awards, four of which were gold.
Thus, the best results were shown by the Greco-Roman wrestler Parviz Nasibov (category up to 67 kg), as well as Alina Filipovich (up to 59 kg), Alla Belinskaya (up to 65 kg) and Irina Zablotskaya (up to 72 kg). In freestyle wrestling Andrey Dzhelep became a silver medalist (up to 61 kg). “Bronze” in the asset Maria Vinnik (up to 55 kg) and Tatiana Sovy-Rizhko (up to 68 kg).
In the team competition, Ukraine took second place, losing the championship to Iran (10 awards, four of which were gold). The next rating event will take place in June in Budapest, Hungary.
Let us remind you that in 2024 there will be two large-scale tournaments for wrestlers – the 2024 Olympics in Paris, as well as the European Championship, which is scheduled for February in Bucharest.
