Manchester City Mentor Pep Guardiola recognized lbest coach 2023 according to FIFA.
Based on the results of a survey of captains, coaches of national teams, media representatives from various countries, as well as votes from fans, the Spaniard scored 28 points. Second place went to the ex-Napoli coach and current coach of the Italian national team Luciano Spalletti (18 points). Third – Inter coach Simone Inzaghi (11 points).
Guardiola, together with Manchester City, last year won all the major tournaments in which he took part: the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup. Only the English League Cup and the FA Super Cup, lost to Arsenal on penalties, were not successful for the Catalan specialist and his players.
Previously, Guardiola was recognized as the best club coach of 2023 according to IFFHS. Lionel Scaloni received the prize for national team coaches.
