The head coach “Manchester City ” Spanish Jose Guardiola recognized as the best coach of 2023 according to the International Football Federation (FIFA).
The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony takes place on Monday in London.
Guardiola beat the Italians in the fight for the prize Simone Inzaghi (“Interest Luciano Spalletti (“Naples”)
In 2023, Guardiola won the Champions League, FA Championship, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup with Manchester City. This is the first award of this type for the 52-year-old Spaniard.
The FIFA Best Awards have been awarded since 2016. Last year, Argentine Lionel Scaloni, who led the Argentine national team to the title of world champion, was recognized as the best coach.
The best coach of women’s football for the fourth time in history and the second time in a row was recognized as coach of the English national team, Dutch coach Sarina Wigman. Under his leadership, the English reached the final of the 2023 World Cup, where they lost to the Spanish (0:1).
