Shakhtar player Miroshi was sent off in this match
Morocco haven’t had any problems with Tanzania in the first round of group F African Cup of Nations 2023 – 3:0.
The favorite won the first half with a minimal score – Romain Saiss sent the ball into the goal after Hakim Ziyech’s free kick and the goalkeeper’s save. Immediately after this, the only UPL representative in this tournament, Shakhtar defender Novatus Miroshi, received a yellow card for tripping.
Tanzania held on until the middle of the second half, but they were let down by the same Miroshi – he made a thoughtless tackle on Azzedine Unai and received a second warning.
After that, the outsider fell apart. First, Unai played a one-two with his partner and doubled the score with a low shot. Soon the Lions of Atlas crushed the opponent’s defense, bringing in Youssef En-Nesyri to finish.
Morocco won with a big score and topped Quartet F. DR Congo and Zambia will play their match in this group later.
