The second winter newcomer from Priazov with experience in the UPL
FSK Mariupol announced the signing of a contract with an experienced midfielder Evgeniy Zadoya.
The 33-year-old player became the club’s second winter newcomer after versatile defender Dmitry Fateev.
During his career, Zadoya played for Metallurg-2 (Zaporozhye), Helios, Veres, Kolos (2016 – 2023, with a break), Aksu (Kazakhstan), Chernomorets (January – July 2023), Podolia. As part of the latter, he played 16 matches this season (First League, Cup), scored three goals, gave one assist.
Evgeniy has 62 matches at the UPL level and almost 200 matches in the Ukrainian First League.
Based on the results of the first stage, Mariupol took third place in Group B of the First League and will compete for the right to promotion in the spring. The Azov team also reached the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup, where they lost minimally to Zarya.
