The creative footballer from Ivory Coast will be an Azzurri player until the end of the season
Napoli officially signed the midfielder on loan Hamed Junior Traorewho spent the last year in Bournemouth. The agreement runs until the end of June 2024.
The 23-year-old Ivorian made a name for himself in Serie A, where he played 140 matches for Empoli and Sassuolo, scoring 31 goals.
In January last year, Bournemouth rented him from Sassuolo and bought the player’s contract in the summer. But this season things haven’t gone well for Traore: only three substitute appearances in the Premier League, and the player spent the last month and a half in the hospital, which is why he lost his chance to go to the 2023 African Cup.
Napoli, the reigning champions of Spain, are failing their domestic season. Recently, the team of Walter Mazzarri (who himself came to a club that was not a stranger to himself during the season) went on a 4-match winless streak in all tournaments and is now in 8th place in Serie A.
Tomorrow, January 18, Napoli will play Fiorentina in the semi-finals of the Italian Super Cup. 10 days later, already within the framework of the championship, the team will visit Lazio in Rome.
