If the parties agree, Anderlecht will interrupt the loan of the Dynamo midfielder
Midfielder Dynamo Justin Lonwijk is negotiating with the Dutch Fortuna (Sittard). He spent the first part of the season on loan in Anderlechtbut the Belgian grandee is not interested in the player’s further services.
Justin is not included in the plans of Belgian coach Brian Riemer, and the club wants to quickly remove the player’s salary from its balance sheet. If the negotiations are successful, Anderlecht is ready to terminate the player’s contract with Dynamo early so that he can play the second part of the season on loan at an Eredivisie club.
Fortuna are 11th in the Dutch top flight, three points adrift of the Conference League play-off zone. Anderlecht is second in the Belgian championship.
Earlier it was reported that the Brussels team found another option for Lonwijk to continue his career – the Danish Brøndby.
The Dutch footballer moved to Dynamo in the summer of 2022 from the Danish Viborg. In the 2022/23 season, Lonwijk played 18 matches for the white-blues in the UPL, in which he scored one goal and provided one assist. His contract with the Kyiv club runs until 2027.
In July 2023, Lonwijk left for Anderlecht on a one-year loan. According to Dynamo President Igor Surkis, the central midfielder left Ukraine due to fear of war. For the Brussels club, Lonwijk came on as a substitute only three times, playing a total of about 40 minutes.
