In the first half, the teams exchanged goals, with Equatorial Guinea scoring both times. Emilio Nsue opened the scoring, and then Esteban Orozco cut the ball into his own net.
After the break, Jose Miranda put Equatorial Guinea back in front and Nsue completed his hat-trick. In stoppage time, Ze Turbo managed to win one goal back.
Equatorial Guinea rose to first place in Group A with 4 points – in the first match the team drew with Nigeria (1:1). Guinea-Bissau is in last place with no points scored. On Thursday, in the second match of the quartet, Nigeria will meet Cote d’Ivoire.
