Coachman: I am owed three months’ salary and bonuses in the amount of 100-150 thousand dollars

Dnepr-1 has serious financial difficulties

Former head coach Dnepra-1 Alexander Kucher confirmed information about wage arrears on the part of the Dnipro club. The coach also stated that there are debts to the team’s players.

“[Судебный иск] – Yes its true. I filed a lawsuit against them in the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber. They owe me three months’ salary and a bonus for second place in the amount of 100-150 thousand dollars.”

“When I prepared all the documents, I dropped them into Dnepr-1 and called Rusol. He didn’t answer me and no one called back. This was before the new year. Now I’m waiting for the meeting. I think after the extraordinary Congress of the UAF, which will be held on January 25.”

“I think there is also a debt to the players. As far as I know, there is a debt of four months.”

Let us remind you that after the defeat from Obolon in the fourth round of the UPL 2023/24, Alexander Kucher, together with his staff, resigned from the post of head coach. Valery Gorodov became the temporary coach, and in mid-September the team was headed by Yuri Maksimov.

With Kucher, the Dnipro team became vice-champions of Ukraine last season. However, the 2023/24 European Cup campaign was extremely unsuccessful for Kucher’s team. Dnepr-1 first lost to Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualification, then lost to Slavia Prague in the Europa League qualification, and then failed to get past Spartak (Trnava) in the Conference League.

Let us remind you that another former coach of Dnepr-1, Igor Jovichevich, previously filed a similar lawsuit due to non-payment of bonuses for a prize-winning place in the UPL. FIFA imposed a transfer ban on the Dnipro team over this case.

Dnepr-1 takes second place in the UPL, behind Krivbass in additional indicators. Yuri Maximov’s team will open the spring part of the season with a match against Minai. The base date for the 18th round of the UPL is February 24.
