Coaching staff Minaya has undergone changes.
Former player of Luhansk Zorya became an assistant to team coach Zeljko Lubenovic Nikola Ignatievich. He worked for a number of Serbian clubs and played over 250 games at the professional level.
Ukrainian specialist became goalkeeper coach Dmitry Babenko. He is known for his performances for Transcarpathia, Hoverla, and ended his career as a Babenko player in Minai, having played a total of more than 170 matches at the highest level.
At the end of the first part of the season, Minaj managed to part with a number of players. Goalkeeper Alexander Bandura, defenders Igor Soldat, Alexander Melnik and Yuri Kravchuk, midfielders Mikhail Gechev, Valery Rogozinsky, Sergei Panasenko, Vladimir Odaryuk and Andrey Ralyuchenko, as well as forward Oleg Vishnevsky left the team.
The first incoming transfer for Minaj was defender Kirill Prokopchuk. The club also extended contracts with goalkeeper Alexander Kemkin and defender Dmitry Nemchaninov.
Minaj went into the winter break in last place in the UPL. The Transcarpathian team was unable to play the match with Dynamo in the 16th round due to a prolonged air raid warning. Minaya’s fight with LNZ has also been postponed to 2024.
In 15 matches, Minaj drew only 6 times, suffering nine defeats. The Transcarpathians are six points behind the transitional matches zone and nine points behind the saving 12th place.
Minai’s next calendar match is to play against Dnepr-1, the base date is February 24.
