Athletistic/Football. Former Spartak president Andrei Chervichenko said in an interview with Match TV that the loss of red and white captain Georgy Dzhikia would be a mistake on the part of the club’s management.

Dzhikia has been playing for Spartak since 2017 and his contract with the club runs until the end of the current season. Since the beginning of September, the defender has not entered the field in matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL), and he has played only 9 matches in the Russian Championship and Cup.

“If Jikia decides to leave Spartak, it will be a big mistake on the part of the club. The question is how much the management trusts head coach Guillermo Abascal and whether they are ready to lose Jikia so that the coach stays and continues. “If Abascal stays in the team, then Jikiye should definitely consider leaving,” Chervichenko said in an interview with Match TV.

Georgy Dzhikia, as part of Spartak, became the champion of Russia and won the country’s Cup and Super Cup.
