Out of plan, Lucas Lima makes it difficult for Santos to leave and irritates the president

With a salary outside Santos’ new reality, Lucas Lima is out of the club’s plans, but bothers the president with his resistance to leaving

Let’s wait for the next negotiations to have the best possible outcome”, said Marcelo Teixeira.

The president seemed uncomfortable with the situation, as Santos is about to debut in the Paulista championship and still hasn’t managed to put an end to this soap opera with Lucas Lima. The player’s most recent refusal was with the Sportwho already had an agreement with Peixe, but was unable to contact the midfielder to close the deal, according to ‘GE’.

At 33 years old, Lucas Lima has a contract with Santos until April next year. Therefore, the negotiations in which the player was discussed were for a loan, to spend the 2024 season away from Peixe. With a salary of around R$ 350 thousand, the São Paulo club considers it unfeasible to keep an athlete with these salaries to compete in the Serie B.
