Dramatic draw for Group E leaders with two own goals
Jordan And South Korea in the match between the leaders of Group E they painted a high-scoring draw with an unpredictable plot in the second round Asian Cup 2023 – 2:2.
The favorite quickly took the lead – Korean leader Son Heung-min scored from the penalty spot. But by the break, Jordan sensationally took the lead, with one of the goals sent into his own goal by Korean Park Yong-Woo.
For the entire second half, Jurgen Klinsmann’s team tried to avoid defeat – and still achieved their goal. There was an own goal again – this time it was Yazan Al-Arab who made the fatal touch.
With four points, the teams remained at the top of their quartet, with Jordan first thanks to a big victory in the first round. Later, Bahrain and Malaysia will try to score their first points in this group.
