Midfielder “Zenith » Andrey Mostovoy appreciated the team’s performance in a friendly match against Dynamo Samarkand.
On Sunday, Zenit won the training camp in Abu Dhabi (UAE) with a score of 5:1. Mostovoy scored one of the goals.
— How do you evaluate today’s match and your game?

Concerning my game, there were mistakes, but that’s normal, considering the first camp, the first match. I’m calm about it.
— From a physical point of view, how difficult was the game?
— I think they deliberately gave everyone a half so that everyone could play to their fullest. That’s enough, in principle, we could even play a little more. But that’s enough time for today.
—What impression did our new arrival Arthur make on you? What can you say about him?
— I liked it, in principle. He showed himself well – I would say, in the style of Malcolm. A similar player is left-footed and plays on the right flank of the attack. He accelerated the attacks and made good serves. From training and the first days it was obvious that he was a quality footballer.
— Were there any specific training instructions for today’s match? Have you received a personal mission?
— My personal task is to distinguish myself through effective action. And the setup – before the match Sergei Bogdanovich said that the opponent plays quite high, there will be many areas behind the defenders where you will have to run. There were moments, I took advantage of them.
— Is scoring in the first game of the year an important moment?
— Yes, it is important for me to stand out in training camp with effective actions and goals, especially in the first match. Let’s start and, thank God, it will continue like this, ”Mostovoy said, as quoted by the Zenit press service.
In the next match, Zenit will face Jeonbuk (South Korea) on January 24.
