Artem’s protégé is his ex-partner on Dnepr-1 Pikhalyonok
Forward Girona Artem Dovbik denied reports that he and his teammate, winger Victor Tsygankov advised the head coach of the Catalan team Michelu sign a midfielder Dynamo Vladimir Brazhko.
Let us remember that earlier the Spanish media reported that Dovbik and Tsygankov allegedly recommended the Dynamo player to their current coach.
At the same time, the 26-year-old Ukrainian striker emphasized that only Ukrainian journalists asked him a similar question (which of his compatriots would he like to see in Girona), and Artem’s recommendation was his recent partner in SC Dnepr-1 Alexander Pikhalenok.
21-year-old Brazhko played 18 matches for the Kiev team in all tournaments of the season. The midfielder has three goals and two assists. Vladimir entered the top 10 best players in Ukraine in 2023.
Dovbik’s peer Pikhalyonok took fifth place in the same list. He scored four goals and provided five assists in 23 matches this season for Dnepr-1. The commercial director of Dnepr-1, Vyacheslav Fridman, spoke about Girona’s interest in him back in December.
Girona leads the La Liga, one point ahead of Real Madrid, but has played a game more. The team of Tsygankov and Dovbik will play their next match on January 21 against Seville, kick-off at 22:00.
