“Sevikyan could have tried a stronger championship” – Radimov on the player’s transfer to Ferencvarosi

Former midfielder “Zenith” Vladislav Radimov believes the midfielder’s skill level Edgar Sevikian could allow the player to evolve towards a championship stronger than the Hungarian championship.

Paris NN Nizhny Novgorod announced the transfer of the 22-year-old to Ferencvarosi last week.

— Objectively speaking, in any case, it would be difficult for PARI NN to fight for high places with its composition. And Sevikyan, of course, impressed me in the first part of the season. Firstly because he knows how to beat one on one: there are not many such players in our championship. So it’s a loss for RPL, and for PARI NN, of course, it’s also a loss. They take Maradishvili for his position, but I don’t know how equal it is – I don’t think much. But if they offered a lot of money for Sevikyan, why not sell?

— Is the Hungarian championship what Sevikyan needs?

— Probably, first of all, it is in the European cups, where we can notice it. Although it seems to me that Sevikyan, due to his skill level, could have attempted a stronger championship. Hungary can be a springboard for such a transition, but you will have to prove yourself,” Radimov said according to RB Sport.

This season, Sevikyan played 24 matches for PARIS NN, in which he scored seven goals. The Armenian national team midfielder joined the Nizhny Novgorod club from Spanish Levante in the summer of 2022.
