“My football career started in the youth sector of Milan, then I started traveling around Italy. A couple of years in the old C2, then I moved to Cittadella and it was three years full of success, two years in C1, winning the championship, Serie B. The next season I landed in Chievo, in Serie A for a season, and then a lot B: Livorno, Turin, Cesena, Padua, C in Pisa and again in Cittadella, where I won the championship again and had another six great years in B before retiring. I love being a coach, it excites me and I’m glad I chose this path. I return to this reality, which I had the opportunity to appreciate during a friendly match played last summer against Primavera 2. I do not have a fixed football belief, but the desire and desire to always play the game with an aggressive team, trying to force the opponents to choose and have a high intensity. Primavera 2 is a championship that I know personally, which I met for two years while leading Cittadella.
This is a tournament in which there are teams that will compete in Primavera 1, and some a little less, but still of a good level, with excellent prospects. The fight happens every day, on any field. The teams are well organized and led by trained coaches. I ask my players mainly to do what they feel is best, trying to remain calm and courageous to play football, to try to impose their own game, even in the presence of superior teams. We must have a clear identity, we must strive to be intense, we must be militant, aggressive. From these elements we begin to build an identity.”
