The Chilean veteran returns to his native club after 17 years
Chilean Colo-Colo announced the return of the legendary midfielder to its ranks Arturo Vidal.
The 36-year-old player, a graduate of the Chilean giants, returns to his native club after 17 years.
In the summer of 2007, he set out to conquer Europe – and completely coped with this task. Over 13 years, Arturo scored 106 goals and provided 81 assists in 606 matches for Bayer Leverkusen, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Inter. Became champion of Germany (three times), Italy (five times) and Spain.
Vidal also won the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo (2022). As part of the Chilean national team (142 matches, 34 goals), he is a two-time Copa America winner (2015, 2016).
Since the summer of 2023, Vidal has played for Atlético Paranaense – nine fights, three yellow cards.
Colo-Colo is a 33-time champion of Chile. In the 2023 championship, the team led by Gustavo Quinteros finished third, three points behind champion Huachipato. The new season for Los Albos starts on February 17th.
